How we protect it
Each piece is treated on its own terms. Delicate surfaces get acid-free tissue before anything else touches them; fragile items are bubble-wrapped and boxed in custom-cut cardboard or a made-to-measure crate; corners and edges are protected; drawers and doors are secured or removed and labelled. Then it’s blanket-wrapped and loaded so nothing rests on it and nothing shifts. It all goes on the same full inventory as the rest of your move.

What counts as fragile or antique?
Anything that needs more than a blanket and a strap — antique furniture, artwork and mirrors, glass cabinets, china and porcelain, clocks, a piano, a chandelier. If it’s valuable, old, or breakable, tell us and we’ll plan how it travels.
How do you protect an antique piece?
Each piece gets what it needs: acid-free tissue and bubble wrap, custom-cut cardboard or a made-to-measure crate, corner protection, and blanket-wrapping over the top. Drawers and doors are secured, loose parts removed and labelled, and the piece is loaded so nothing rests on it.
Can you handle a piano or a grandfather clock?
Yes — with the right kit and enough hands. Uprights and baby grands, longcase clocks, heavy dressers: we plan the route out of the room, protect the piece and the property, and carry it safely. Tell us the specifics at the survey so we bring what’s needed.
Is this only for whole-house moves?
Not at all. If most of your move is straightforward but a few pieces need real care, we fold the specialist handling into a standard or full-care move — or handle just the delicate items if that’s all you need.
